Our approach

Rexel shares with all the other players in the electrical industry a major responsibility with regards to the challenges of energy transition, climate change and energy access. The Group has turned these challenges into the driving forces of its growth and wants to be a catalyst for sustainable development through its unique position within the value chain.

Rexel's Sustainable Development Approach

To define its sustainable development priorities, Rexel relies upon the results of a materiality analysis. Conducted in 2015 across the entire value chain, this assessment involved stakeholders from outside (NGOs, experts, customers, suppliers, works councils) as well as inside Rexel (Group managers).

This fundamental approach enabled Rexel to enhance the relevance of its sustainable development strategy, focusing on three pillars.

The pillars of Rexel’s sustainable development strategy:

  • Developing energy management solutions for our customers and society at large
  • Promoting responsible practices in the value chain
  • Improving the social and environmental performance of our operations
