Ideal Electrical was installing new racking in their Nugent Street warehouse.
Near the end of the process they decided to upgrade the lighting.
One problem: due to access limitations, the window to carry out the work from design to installation was just 24 hours.
For customers looking from the retail floor, the view is now of a bright and busy warehouse.
Within two hours of the initial request, Rexel Lighting had presented a lighting design to match the new racking layout. The design exceeded lighting standards and used an economical RX Disk 150W highbay with a diffuser kit to minimise glare. The highbays were available in stock and successfully installed within the 24-hour window.
Lighting in the bathrooms was also refreshed using RX Selene surface mounted luminaires for a flattering low-glare light.
Ideal staff say they enjoy the new lighting layout. Light levels are much better on the walls and vertical racking surfaces, making it easier for staff to view product on the shelves.

There's now a better light level on the warehouse floor and the light is more even, with no shadowing.
